To all the uni students out there....
.... are you folks all ready to go back to class?
I'm not. I could use another week or so yet! Oh well. This just means each passing day brings us that much closer to summer.

As I recall the U of Calgary has block week courses the first week of a semester. Cram a course all into 1 week. A little crazy I know, but it's optional. Take comfort, they finish a week later than everyone.

MRC (where I go) was back this week but all classes (at least mine) were cancelled.
I'm ready to go back though. After 8 years in the working world I like school a lot more.

Dal went back last Tuesday, as did most Atlantic Universities so it seems... Acadia however starts up again Monday.
Muta, I was kidding about the "what are you talking about?" usually I don't forget to put an emoticon in... odd

I go to U of C, been back for a week already, have a project due on monday, and a final on tuesday.
As far as block weeks go. I am in a 6 month course, and the classes are set up like block weeks. 1 course at a time, done in 2-3 weeks. I like this format much better. Classes are done quicker.

I am just about ready to go back. All my required courses are this semester so it should be a bit more interesting than last semester.
How did finals go for everyone?

Some went really, really well. Some not so well. Evened out in the end with a 3.46...barely missed that 3.5 I wanted though

My classes started on Friday the 7th. (most people started Thursday though...I only go MWF) -- Still, what jackass had the idea to start classes at the end of a week?!
How many days do all of you go to school, and what hours? I am only taking 4 classes this semester, 3 of them MWF 9 til 12 (each class is 53minutes long) and my 4th class is only once a week on Tuesday nights, but it's from 6pm til 9pm.

Bleh, I miss enough class that Christmas break seemed like normal school life for me. Wish we had more time off, but after a couple of weeks i'll most likely trim my schedule down to four or five classes a week so it'll be like i'm back on some sort of a break again.
I love not having mandatory attendence in school! UofC gets their money so they're happy, I don't have to go to class so i'm happy. We get along nicely...

Just finishing things up in Haskayne, so most of my classes have no finals, are participation-based, and never occur on fridays.
Ahhhh, it's nice to finally escape the required-courses crunch. =)

Finals went alright....that damn 2.85 GPA..should been a 3, I hate how teachers are all unavailable till after marks are offical.
TOTF...ECON 209, that class was hilarious. And you'll get an A for sure with that mindset.....seiously.
This semester should suck big time. Any finance majors from U of C that have taken a course that involves this book..
Brealey and Myers, Corporate Finance, been told it was FNCE 601 or something. Need some imput on that textbook...

That was the last course I took and the easiest. Schlenker taught that course to me....8 years ago. [/b][/quote]
Is Shedd still teaching Econ 201? Of my profs who considered english to be a 1st language, he had to be the worst prof I ever had. (aside from Brown from the physics department) Guy wrote the textbook so he just read from it verbatim. Not that I was there to hear him - I decided the Campus Cove was a better place to refine my knowledge.
