Default Something cool to do...(pun intended) (Now with video!)

I remembered this from a video I watched of a guy living in Alaska, so I tried it myself...

This morning I took a pot of boiling water and tossed it into the air. Most of it turned to snow before hitting the ground!

I thought that was wicked, but it only seems to work with really hot water. Cold water doesn't seem to do it as well.

Give it a shot!

It wouldn't be fun if it wasn't dangerous...

Sounds like something worth trying tonight though.

Do you mean throw the entire pot up into the air, or fling the pot while still holding it so all the water "leaps" out?

Fling so the water goes out of the pot.

I've also heard that if you blow bubbles, they'll freeze and you'll be able to hold them, but I've yet to try that one.

Tried it tonight, it kinda worked. You need to get some good velocity for it to work really well.

Bump! I remembered I had made a thread about this last winter! It worked again today!

Also, this time I made a video! It wasn't quite as dramatic as it was last winter, but it worked!

I apologize for the crappy video quality. I set the video to 320x240, I think by mistake! Oops!

Enjoy!
