Default Anyone live or lived in Singapore?

Some company is looking at Headhunting me... They are based in Singapore.

Anyone lived there? If so, can you answer me some questions

What kind of Salary do you need a year in order to live comfy?

General impressions of the culture?

What are the ISPs like?

Are there an abundance of good gyms?

What type of power wattage do they use?

Am I crazy for considering this move?

THANKS!

Depends. Define comfy. Comfy for me may not be comfy for you. You can save a lot here or live like a king.

General impressions of the culture?

Like anywhere - people are people. I've met some awesome people and some rude ones.

What are the ISPs like?

Are there an abundance of good gyms?

Yes - California Fitness is one of the leading ones. If you live in a nice condo - you can get full facilities. Pool, weights, tennic courts, etc.

What type of power wattage do they use?

If you are in Austrailia then I think its the same. I'm not sure the exact amount.

Am I crazy for considering this move?

Not at all. I don't regret it. You will have growing pains. If I had the opportunity to move to any part of Asia - I would find the easiest transition in Singapore. It used to be colonized by the Brits years back so it has a lot of influences in the culture. The big thing to me is the fact that most can speak English as its mandatory in school.

Let me know if you'd like to know more.
