Default Rod Stewart playing the Saddledome - August 14

Thought this might interest some people here, I remember his name mentioned a couple times in the "Best Concerts" thread a while back.

Tickets go on sale Friday (today if you have American Express). If anyone has presale passwords, etc., post em here.

Over $540 for a pair of floor seats!!!! Is this guy worth that!?!

Wow that walking corpse can still play? And fill the 'dome? I'm shocked. He's the kind of act I'd expect to see at the Cowboy's tent opening for Kenny Rogers.

So what you are saying is you know nothing about the popularity of certain artists?

He might have been worth it years ago but I don't think so now. There was a time where Rod Stewart was as big an act as any around. I miss that guy.

Rod Stewart sold $50 mil in tix in 2007. Can't find last years data. He is still a very large draw. Kenny Rogers wishes he could get on a tour with him.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Is it wrong that the only Rod Stewart song I like is his cheesiest 80s tune ever? I sing this all the time!

"Maggie, I wished I'd, never seen your face"

I can't believe Troutman missed that one.

Well, come on back to Edmonton and I'll buy you Rod Stewart tickets so you can add to the cougar content.

A guy I work with was dragged to a Rod Stewart concert some other time he played Edmonton, and managed when it was dark to fall down the stairs and shatter his ankle.

It took his wife until the end of the concert to notice he was missing. I think he was in the first aid room the entire time, lol.

I respectfully disagree sir. Most of the crowd at the show I went to were past this stage. A buddy of mine had two front row tickets to his last show at the dome, but couldn't get anyone to buy the 2nd seat at full price. I ended up paying him $100 for it and it was an.... interesting experience. Two twenty-something big guys in the midst of thousands of 40-65 year old screaming women with roses
