The Abbotsford Heat and the University of British Columbia are pleased to announce that the Abbotsford HEAT and the UBC Thunderbirds Men's Hockey Program will play an exhibition game on September 30th at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, with the game time being 7 pm
This is pretty much what's happening tonight (Bears vs Canucks Rookies) and Friday (Bears vs Oilers Rookies) in Edmonton. But rather than it being "Flames Rookies vs UBC" the Heat are playing the Thunderbirds. Good move from a marketing perspective I think, get the local (and non-Calgary) team name out there.

One of my best friends is on the Thunderbirds and is a huge, huge Flames fan. As such, he can't STAND Good ol' Bubba. Man I hope #8 dresses for that game... i'd love to see him school my buddy.
