I find it interesting that Yankee fans are all over this guy, they want his contract terminated and him shipped out of town, yet in his first year with the yankees, where he put up great numbers, lit up Pedro Martinez for a couple of homers in the deciding game and played great, he was a hero. It was obvious back then, that he was on roids but a 300 average and power numbers cancel that out. When he slumps, all of a sudden he is a bum because of the roids abuse.. It just shows that if you perform, you can break the rules all you want, but once you have a bad year......... Gary Sheffield has been rumored to have done roids as well, but he was an MVP candidate last year, so he is in good shape with the fans and media....
