I thought this was going to be about some zoolander-type gasoline fight accident. This is much better though! Wouldn't mind if the battleground extended to the SW this evening.

But that's impossible! Or those oil companies who control gas prices for the oligopy is only doing this to mislead Sheeple into believing that there actually is a marketplace for gasoline.

Anywhere along my drive home between Downtown and Crowfoot? I'd like to get hit by some shrapnel on my way home seeing as the gas light was on this morning.

Gas is getting insanely cheap. Finally the number of litres is going up faster than the price on the gas pump.
Wonder how long this will last for.

I would hardly call it insanely cheap! It really hasn't been that long since the it was below 100.0
I remember the days of 40.0 cents/L... ahhhhhh.

When I was living in Lethbridge, either the summer of 2002 or 2003 (can't quite remember now), there was a gas war going on that summer to the point that, with the 3.5 cent per litre discount from Safeway, you could get your gas for below 20 cents per litre. No word of a lie. I would go to Calgary or home to my parents in Lacombe for the weekend, and then gas up in Claresholm or Nanton just enough so I'd drift into town on fumes and then fill up. I've never seen anything like it.

Can't have a diesel war with empty pumps. In fact... that would piss off a lot of people... I like it. Drop prices for diesel to 50 cents/L, then when they pull up to a pump, there's a little sign that says "Sorry! No diesel"

It wasn't that long ago that Diesel was 56.9/litre. The cheapest I have seen it lately was 114.9 earlier this week.

high prices because Diesel-producing units at Alberta plants run by Petro-Canada, Imperial Oil Ltd and Suncor Energy Inc have all been undergoing maintenance.

Yep, I remember that too.
People would line up with tankers in order to get gas.
