As a bunch of neighbourhood kids played on an street in Elora on Jan. 1, one told a nearby four-year-old his team had been robbed -- a common hockey line that often follows a goalie's big save.

But the little boy took the comment literally.

"Some of the kids said to him, 'Call the cops, someone stole a goal there,' so he went in and called the cops,"

That's awesome. I can just imagine the lady on the other end.

"Hello 911, do you have an emergency?"

"Yes, someone just stole a goal!!!!"

"I'm sorry did you say a goal?"

"Yeah, he stole it from the kids outside"

"(Holding back laughter) A goal eh??? Is your mom home?"

Someone should have called 911 on Tampa Bay last spring.
