Sounded fantastic live...........I was really impressed.

The drummer's a bit of a weirdo, though.............

Nope they played Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Awesome track, next to Holiday it's my favorite on that disc.

Did a good job on Letterman. They all look a little psycho (Marylin Mansonesque) but that drummer was seriously wacko. Made weird faces the whole set and then runs out on stage and trips at the end.... weirded Dave out.

Ha ha yeah did he ever look like a lunatic. I especially like how his eyes were bugging out of his head. That trip off the drum riser was good as well and the sliding all the way across the stage brought it all together.

EDIT: http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/exclusives/wahoo/

No video but a funny picture and a little summary of the performance down the page a bit.

saw them at the Coliseum here in Van last month. It was my third time seeing them, this one was by far the best. Honestly, in the top 5 of my favorite big band concerts and I have been about 50 or so. They rocked out for 2 straight solid hours. Played old, new and even did a cover of Queen's "We are the Champions" which was the highlite of the night for me. I have never seen so much confetti shot out of a cannnon before. I was on the floor near the back at this time and couldnt see the stage because of the confetti, it was sweet. I highly reccomend on checking out Green Day perform their new stuff if you havent already.

IMO
"Give me Novacaine" is the best song on the record. I bet it's a single.

Holiday is the next single......seriously though......it is for sure. I would love to see Jesus of Suberbia a single but I think its length may be its undoing.

Damn do I want to see em live though..........

I am not (wasn't) a Green Day fan. But I think that American Idiot may be the sleeper album of the year.

It has been a while since I have heard an album that is meant to be played as an album. Start to finish, song 1 - 13 (or whatever the last song is). Honestly, I think it is a pretty brilliant effort.

oh, and it rocks ...

Yeah, a lot of their albums have sounded pretty similar, but the new one is pretty darn good.

When I bought it, I thought it was going to be the same old, same old.........

Suprisingly good.........like you said, could be the sleeper album of the year.
