Default For anyone using the CTrain today...

Just a heads up...

There was a pretty bad accident involving a ctrain near the Olympic Plaza/City Hall LRT. Line will be shut down until further notice. I'll get a press release from city beat up shortly.

This morning at approximately 9:45 am, The City of Calgary
Emergency Medical Services responded to 7 Avenue and Macleod
Trail SE. On scene, paramedics found a collision involving a
car and a C-Train. The driver of the car, an approximately
35 year old female, was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The car had significant damage and the patient sustained head
and chest injuries. She was treated by paramedics and
transported to the Foothills Hospital in non life threatening
condition. All occupants of the C-train were uninjured.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people manage to collide with Ctrains.

Especially since the only way she would have it the train at that intersection is if she ran the red - and not just because the light just changed.

The thing is that those damn trains are just soooo unpredictable! Plus all those colors...red, yellow, green...flashing lights, loud noises, giant blinking arms...it's just too much. How in the hell are you suppose to have a meaningful conversation, read, do your makeup or masturbate with all these distractions??

It's time to develop a less complex system.

Haha.

In all honesty though. It's a frickin train! You think you would know to not mess with those things if your a car or pedestrian. Wake the **** up people and pay attention. I imagine majority of these c-train incidents are completely avoidable if people do.

Darwinism I tell ya...

enough with these updates. You need to rest your fingers and clear your mind before the big game.

On a similar note... anyone know more info about the crash that killed someone on Hwy. 1 and Old Banff Coach Rd.?
