Default ? about Shaw HD Plus

I ordered this earlier this week. Just flipping through some channels today and noticed a bunch of channels with "Subscription service only" notifications on them.

I was under the impression that if I bought HD Plus I'd have the channels listed on their site as Digital, which you can find here:
http://www.shaw.ca/en-ca/ProductsSer...nnelsInMyArea/

Based on what it lists here I'm lead to believe they aren't giving me all the channels I'm supposed to get.

My best example right now is that I can't watch NHL Network channel, but it's listed as a Digital Channel. I called them but they haven't fixed it despite resetting the hdpvr.

HD plus only includes channels 200-224. Digital is completely different. You'll get the basic digital channels, but NHL network is considered a premium digital channel.

Well I called again and they said I should be getting the NHL Network but no luck, it's not there. Sending out a rep tomorrow.

If you just signed up, they might have given you a promotional package, but you'd normally have to get NHL Network separately (or as part of a specialty package).

On their website, the channels listed under "Specialty Channels" have to be ordered on their own. The only digital channels you get as part of the HD package are the ones listed at the top of the page under "Digital Channels". For some reason, NFL Network is included in the package, but NHL isn't.

EDIT:

It looks like if you get the "Fully Loaded" package, you'll get all the specialty channels. I don't know if it's worth $50 more than the HD Plus package though, especially since none of them are in HD, and once you go HD, you'll never go back.

i'm on hdplus but only for the sports. as long as i get the sports in hd...that's all that matters to me. I actually rarely if ever go beneath channel 200. so...i guess i am paying loot for like 25 channels...

as others have noted...basic digital provides a chunk of the digital channels...but not nhl network or the other premium digitals.
