Interesting article at the NY Times claims that studies show people are spending less time in front of the idiot box and more time in front of the computer.
While this trend seems a little obvious (who used computers this much 10 years ago?) it seems to ignore the inevitable (or so we've been told) merging of the two mediums. I figure that the time spent away from the TV and on the net isn't much difference, except for a lot more control over the information presented to you (for now).
I for one have a TV going all the time when I'm on my comp at home, so I'm doing my best to fulfill my 3 hour a day (minimum) quota! I hate just being on the computer w/out the TV for backup sound, and for some reason music just doesn't seem to cut it.
