My two Golden's have been known to get in foot races with deer on our wanderings around the pasturelands next to our home. Abby went toe-to-toe with a moose once, fortunately a juvenile too inexperienced to just stomp her to death outright. When she was still a puppy and before we built our fence, I found her in the neighbouring barnyard industriously digging up a gopher hole while surrounded by thousands of pounds of bulls. In fact, as I was typing this I looked out the window and both her and Keeper were roaring down our fence line chasing the neighbour Border Collie who was chasing a coyote.
Anyway, they ain't afraid of much.
One non-descript morning they were up early and out in our fenced four acres, their sanctuary they can't get out of, the tall grass waving around them, the sun just peaking over the far eastern hill.
Suddenly one of them comes roaring back up the hill to the house, tail between its legs, looking frantically over its shoulder for whatever beastie might be chasing it.
And the other was frozen stiff in petrification.
While they were wandering their turf, a deer that had spent the night snoozing had stood up directly behind them, scaring the crap out of them.
It leisurely bounded away and over our fence, with no one giving chase.
Revenge of the deer family.
Abby ain't askeerd of nuthin' . . . . except surprises.

Well, here in the wild kingdom, I have a rabbit that likes to get out and run around and have a good old time. I also have a lovebird who likes to get out and cruise the house and when the opportunity arises, the bird rides around on the back of the rabbit ala the Lone Ranger. Pretty funny. Also, my cat likes to crawl under the bed sheets to sleep so we can't jump on the bed or toss anything on the bed for fear of squishing the kitty.

My dog, a Bichon Frise...attempted to herd cows one time. The cows actually ran away from her..and she was about the size of a large housecat.
Funniest thing I have ever seen any of my pets do.

My dog, whenever she gets bored, tends to run around the house at full speed and spin around chasing her stub of a tail. One night when she was doing this, she turned a tight corner and ran right into my dad at top flight.
oh, and i've trained her to go crazy for no apparent reason by saying someone has come home.
countless incidents where she'll bark at the TV when she sees something on TV (like other dogs, ALF, etc)

Not so much stories, more like events.
My brother's cat hates to be pet, and doesn't listen to anyone. So in order to put him into the room we keep them in when no one's home (they're still young so we don't let them roam the house) I have to pick him up and put him in there myself.
My cat however, upon seeing me put my brother's away, will just go in there on his own. May sound stupid, but to me, it's pretty impressive. I don't even have to pick my cat up, he just knows.
Also, I have a speaker in my room, a subwoofer actually, so it's quite tall -- about 2 feet off the ground. It sits below my windosill, so my cat will jump on it and sit there for hours just looking out my window staring at things outside. He does it so much and sits there so often that I refer to my speaker now as his "perch". :P

We had a little cat named "Sam" when I was little, she was quite the outdoorsy sort. Ferocious hunter, she wasn't big, but she brought home all sorts of treats. Bluejays, chickadees, mice, even a small rabbit once if you can believe it.
She was a very protective cat, and was especially wary when she had kittens. There was an Irish Setter who used to run wild pretty much all over the place (we lived on an acreage outside of Sherwood Park) The dog made the mistake of running into our property. Sam waited until it ran past the deck, where she was perched, ready to attack. She landed on the dog's head, and clawed at it mercilessly. As soon as the yelping dog hit the property line, she jumped off and trotted back to the house.
Another time, a friend of my Dad's brought his dogs with him. He opened the door and let them out. Dad said he should keep an eye on them until he put the cat inside. "Oh, they won't hurt the cat" he said. "I'm not worried about the cat" Dad replied. Too late. The poor dog with three legs came running around the corner with Sam attached to his head.

I almost forgot to mention this...
My brother's cat, he eats (at least used to) lizards all the time. I live in Florida, so they are seen quite frequently, and my brother's cat, being as curious as he is, would chase them down and capture them with his paws. Then, sure enough, he would start putting them in his mouth and eventually chewing them. It was pretty sick actually, cuz they were still alive and he just ate them!

Well, I have a pet rabbitt who is hilarious to observe in his quests to explore all areas of the apartment. He is a mini-lop and his name is Rufus. Here he is celebrating Festivus.
When Rufus was about 6 months old he would explore my apartment with reckless abandonment and jump on top of anything low enough for him to get onto as he loves to have a better view of things.
I was sitting in the living room and he was hopping around in the bathroom at the end of the hall. I watched him stand up on his hind legs while looking at the toilet. Then he jumped to get on top of the toilet bowl only to discover the lid was up when he landed in the water. Thankfully we weren't using any toilet pucks or blue water at the time as he probably would have been poisoned. I quickly ran down the hall to find Rufus sitting in the toilet bowl shivering and looking quite embarrassed by the whole situation as if he knew how stupid he'd been. I cleaned him up and dried him off. He spent the rest of the evening right beside me and he never jumped on top of the toilet again.

My dog is a Bichon Frise and he loves to go for a ride in the car looking out the window. So im leaving to go to work and he bolts out the door and waits next to the car because he thinks im going to bring him. I carry him back to the house.
