Need Video Card Help

I have a nVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 420 64mb video card in my machine now and I want to upgrade it.

How do I figure out what card will work in my sytem?

I am looking at this BFG GeForce FX 5500OC 256MB AGP Video Card but I have no idea if I should buy it. Pretty sweet price after rebates and sales.

I will upgrade it eventually. What a joke FutureShop is there web site says the item is in stock and you go there, there are none.

I got some young kid and he told me the site is updated in the morning and that they had 4 this morning but the staff grabbed 3 of them. Beauty. Other then price that store is useless.
