The Donkey got off easy. Where I grew up, the farmer with the damaged crops might have just shot the donkey dead. Not that there would be too many donkeys roaming the prairie near Aden, Alberta. Usually, dogs killing chickens, or chasing horses or cows. Automatic death sentence.
