Default Getting Rangers tickets at MSG

Hey guys,

I'm going to be in NYC in October and wanted to go check out a Rangers game at MSG (probably against Chicago). Any suggestions/tips on how to get tickets? Do I just jump on ticketmaster and hope for the best (where can I find out when tickets go on sale)? Also, any suggestions on things to do while over there?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ticketmaster or Stubhub. You will love NYC. I was there in July. Best town I have ever visited.

Stub Hub is a rip off, just jump on ticketmaster.com the day they're released and you'll be fine.

Go to ticketmaster and order them, and either have the tickets couriered to you or pick them up at will call. That's what I did a few years ago when I went to MSG.

My tickets didn't arrive in time for me to take them with me, so I called ticketmaster and arranged to have them at the will call booth. No problem at all doing so.

Go to the restaurant (can't remember which one) that's on the 2nd floor at the top of the escalator by the main entrance. When I was the Glen Anderson was outside signing autographs....if you're into that kind of thing. Have fun, it's a cool arena to watch games.

POTVIN SUCKS!!!

My Brother was in Manhatten in February/March of last year. The Rangers were playing the Caps and he just walked up to the door a bought a single seat no problem. He really enjoyed himself and said that the New Yorkers bought him beer all night because he was Canadian and all by himself. They thought he was a true Hockey Fan and deserved free beer for this, little did they know he lives in Vancouver and is a Canucks Fan now.

pffft to buying tickets online. Part of the New York experience is dealing with their scalpers. Those guys are an experience by themselves.

The Rangers website also has a section where fans sell their unwanted tickets. That's where I got mine when the Flames last came to town.

Hey everyone, just have a quick question regarding bringing a camera to MSG. They state that cameras with zoom lenses are not allowed. I interpret that as those huge lenses. I have a Canon XSi with the 18-55mm lens. Am I ok, or do I need to go back to the apartment and drop off my gear?
