The Pittsburgh Penguins's Head Coach/GM liamenator today announced that the Pens have completed a 4 player swap with the Florida Panthers. Headed to Steeltown are young winger Fredrik Sjostrom, keeper Alex Auld and a 3rd round draft choice. To Florida go Jan Hlavac and prospect Dan Frische.
"We have aquired 2 players we have had targeted for some time in Auld and Sjostrom. Auld will alleviate some of the pressure on Michael Tellqvist and compete for the backup job while Sjostrom is a young up and comer who brings us offensive flair."
The Pens continue to dismantle, re-tool, aquire assets and do everything they can to turn the ship around.
