7) The premier event, as a rule, is the mens 100 meter. This year should produce one of the most memorable races in recent history. Regardless of whether that person is doping or not, who will race to glory?? Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, Usain Bolt or other(yes, other is a choice)??

Usain Bolt

China

9) Besides Adam Van Koeverden(think Silke Laumann but less muscular), who is must likely to win a gold medal for Canada in the Olympics??

Rowing-Men's Eight (payback time for 2004, this time its personal)

10) If you bothered to read up to this question and actually find these questions fun and challenging, you do have Olympic fever, and don't worry, in Canada, it's really not that contagious. Question, its the last day of the Olympics, who will be the flag bearer for the best damn flag in the world, the Maple Leaf??

Ian Millar

** BONUS QUESTION

Finish this sentence. With MY two options( don't want you free thinkers taking this over)

The Beijing Olympics were:

A) the best Olympics ever

B) marred by protests, smog and journalists being restricted from reporting
full stories.

What can I say, I'm all about the sports. I'll leave the ethics to the philosophers.

Peace Out.

Well, I'll play since nobody else wants to:

Most medals - US, 101
Golds - US, 38
Canada - false, 11 (injuries in key events make it lower)
Canada gold - I'll go with the same, 3
Phelps - He'll get 8, same number of stories about his "awesomeness" (barf) will also play per day.
Speedo - they are breaking records in qualifying so I'll have to go with 21.
100 meters - I'd pick Bolt too, but to be different I'll go Powell - experience over youth.
Female Gym - when I was a young guy I never thought the girls were cute, they were, and still are, kind of freaks. Can't beat China.
Canuck gold medalist: Marie-Helene Premont - mountain bike
Flag bearer - Miller is a great choice. I'll pick Daniel Nestor
Bonus - I have to pick "B) marred by protests, smog and journalists being restricted from reporting full stories." As I don't think they'll be the best ever. Pollution is going to be the biggest story line as expected.
