Default Roseville, CA (and Sacramento)

I'm heading to Roseville, California in a week for business and will be there for two weeks... any CP members been there before? It's a short distance away from Sacramento, so if you know of any things to check in while I'm there in either Sacramento or Roseville, that'd be great!

Thanks for any help!

You are a couple hrs away from Yosemite National Park which is really nice depending on what you like to do, and obviously San Fran is around there. Santa Cruz is within reasonable distance too, a little beach town thats quite popular. I would personally go to Yosemite, really nice hiking and some of the best climbing in the world if you are into that.

Yeah, I might do San Francisco since it's about a 2 hour drive away, but Yosemite looks like a 4 hour drive which might be a touch far.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Oh I forgot to mention, since you are EE you might find SJ / Santa Clara / Sunnyvale / Mountain View really cool. Googleplex, Cisco Campus, Sun, National Semiconductor, Micron/Aptina, Nuvation, Yahoo, eBay, Altera and so on is kind of neat to see.

In CA, most people drive 10 miles/hr over the limit so Yosemite is probably more like 3 hrs away.

If you want any info on Yosemite, I can give you some advice since I was just there 3 days ago. Note that if you do go to Yosemite and decide to do some camping, it drops below freezing at night so you may want a winter jacket and some booze to keep you warm. If you are an avid hiker/scrambler, there are some beautiful views in class 2/3 scrambles, while climbing does offer you some good bouldering and 5.9-5.12 top roping and lead clmbing. Although I'm sure there's some good bouldering in the Canadian Sheild, I thought Yosemite > Canadian Rockies.

For San Fran, if you do go there, I might bump into you as I may be there for a few weekends visiting a cousin there. I'm more interested in wondering around then the art museums, Alcatraz or any of the main tourest sights though.
