Mike Weir is actually sporting a playoff beard (see PGA commercials) and although he didnt win the tourney, he did move up in the playoffs from 43rd to 18th (he needs to be in top 30 after next two tourneys to get into Tour Championship). At one point he was tied at -8 with Sergio, but a couple of untimely bogies ended his run.

Based on his history he will be fine until Sunday when he shoots a 78 and finishes in his usual 20+ position.

Singh is my favorite player. When he finds his putter he is almost unbeatable. Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to do that in the majors for a while. If he was a bit more consistent, he would be listed with the all time greats.

Agreed! Singh was on fire today and gave us all glimpses of what he could be if he ever found consistancy in his game. Still finishing second is not that bad for Weir.

I really don't like Singh, but he's proving that other than Tiger, he is probably the best golfer around right now. As the commentators were saying, doing what he is doing at his age is very impressive.
