Heard about this quiz while listening to a podcast tonight, and as someone who is quite proud of his ability to distinguish Japanese from Chinese from Korean, I thought I'd knock this one out of the park. I got 8/18 on the faces quiz. Average was 7. Yikes. I guess Asians really do all look the same to most of us?

LOL I got 3/18. That's impressively bad and a lot worse than pure guessing is expected to do (6/18).

Isn't this like having the same test using British, French or German people? Yes there are some characteristics that are specific to one group of people, but in reality they are interchangeable between countries.
The great thing about this is that the reason it's so hard to guess who is from which country is not that they all look the same, but that they all look so totally different.

I think they purposefully select pictures of Chinese that look like Japanese, Japanese that look like Koreans, and Koreans that look like Chinese just to confuse the white folk.

Faces...not really. Hence my great score of three. The differences comes in the way they conduct themselves and gestures. Sit in an airport like KL and you can really see the differences.
