Slow Edmontonians
So I work at Fort Calgary, for those of you who dont know, it is the Fort of the NWMP when they arrived here to try and stop the Whiskey Trade.
Anyway yesterday I was working the phones and a lady called and the conversation went like this.
Me- Good Afternoon Fort Calgary, how may I help you?
Her- Is this the thingy with the old stuff?
Me- Umm, I guess you could say that yes?
Her- Oh ok, I'm from Edmonton so I didnt really know.
Me- OK
Her- What time are you guys open tell tonight?
Me- 5, were open 9-5 everyday.
Her- Oh Awesome thankyou, oh, what time do you guys open?
Im not saying she represents all Edmontonians, but maybe a good chunk.

Kind of related, I just hate it when I walk up to the counter at a store and plop down a couple items, I say "hello" and "that's all for me" to speed things up.
They reply, "anything else?".

There are stupid people in every city.

Having lived there for far too long, I concur with the OP's original statement.

When I had to answer phones, I would always get the song "Banditos" stuck in my head.
"Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people"
I always try to remember that everyone you ever meet knows something that I do not know; but geez, there are a heck of a lot of people that seem like a waste of oxygen sometimes.

Chances are he's avoiding this thread based off the title. That way he won't risk turning into the hulk.

I'll PM OilKiller about how much praise Edmonton is getting for obeying speed limits.
When, actually, it's poor civic engineering and air viscous with stupidity that keeps them plodding!

Bell's PVR is not only better, but their HD is far superior to Shaw both in quantity of channels and quality of picture...

Not to mention Shaw's service in Edmonton doesn't hold a candle to its Calgary system.

Hey, I'm with Shaw because...and I live in Edmonton because the wife doesn't want to move. What else can I say.

You know the only reason you're in Edmonton is because Bell sponsors the Oilers.
