Default Tiger wont swing a golf club til '09

"As far as swinging a club, that's not going to happen until next year," Woods wrote in a blog on tigerwoods.com. "I just don't have a choice. Too bad. Sounds like he will be VERY rusty when the season opens again in January.

Yeah, too bad.

I get the feeling that this won't be the last surgery either. Given that he's had 4 already I can't imagine that knee being the most stable part of his body and then couple that with the stress it's going to be put under.

Ah yes one of those replies.

Anyways I imagine he could still work on things like his putting, which is still the most important aspect of the game. I would think simple chipping and that sort of thing could be worked on too, but I guess he really doesn't want to risk putting any strain on that knee.

Yeah, he'll probably barely make the cut in his first tournament back and then do something Tiger-like on the last two days to win the thing.

The man is unbelievable.

Count me as one of the few people in the wolrd who does not miss Tiger, that can actually watch golf without him and actually enjoys it more.

I hope he is able to rehab and learns a lesson about pressing a sports injury...

More than watch hockey in the US generally....I would guess they care as do I since i originated this thread.

It seems like he is pretty focussed on becoming as close too 100% as possible before returning...hence the extensive re-hab period. Really too bad he will miss the Ryder Cup though...love that format myself and he would certainly bolster what looks to be a relatively weak US team this year.

Actually, there are a bunch of Tiger haters out there (I realize you didn't go to that extreme). You see that phenomenon every time there is an athelete that dominates like that. There are a lot of people who absolutely despise Tom Brady too. I don't get it myself, but I know you are certainly not alone.

I'll bet that lesson has been learned, but man....what a way to learn it.

How many people got this Pepper..........I was really surprised at Tiger's comment as he must know that sooooo many hockey players (along with others of course) just idolize him.....
