Default Booking a flight question..

Hey all.

I am trying to book a flight to my dads place in new jersey. he is paying for 200 of the trip with his mastercard.

Does anyone know any place that allows it to be split payment mastercard and debit? Booking through westjet. Can I just go to west jet and purchase?

I couldnt find this info on west jet's website so I came here.

TIA

I have no real answer, but in pondering the question, I'm going to say that the only likely way to to this would be to go to a ticket counter so that a person can manually use two different cards. Since one of the cards is in NJ and the other one is here, you're probably hooped. Probably going to have to get him to wire you the money or something.

Have you tried calling Westjet and asking a ticket agent?

You might be better off getting one of you to pay the whole thing and just making up the difference to the other when you meet.

If you're booking online I have never seen an option to split payment.

I agree, online air travel websites dont take debit.
you may wish to seek out a travel agent and they might be able to serve you better with this predicament.

You can do it through an agent, but I believe they charge $25+ per ticket for that service.

You should call West Jet and talk to their customer service. I had problem booking online one time (not the same as your problem). That was when I went through everything but at the end the screen freezed up before giving me confirmations. I called WestJet and this girl that I spoke to were very friendly and helped me out. I am sure they will let you know if splitting charges will work or not.

They can't do debit over the phone, but if you go to a Travel Agent you can split the payments between debit/credit card. If you call the WJ Customer Service that's what they'll tell you- or to head to the airport where they can also take debit. The Call Centre can take lots of different CC's but no debit.

I found someone to let me use their number. Calling in to westjet actually saved me money. I just couldn't use airmiles.
