Cheap firewood?

Anyone know a place to buy some cheap firewood? Im off camping tommorow and am not really keen on paying the awesome prices campgrounds charge for firewood. Im off to Kananaskis if it makes any difference.

Garbage bin at a house under construction. The best would be if you could find hardwood flooring scraps. If not, you should be able to scrounge up enough 2x4 to last a weekend.

I'm not sure how it is up there, but down here lumber yards typically give away their scraps for free. We've never paid for firewood to take camping.
