Default Lance back on the bike

Lance Armstrong is doing his first race in three years this weekend. It's a 100 mile mtb race that Floyd Landis finished 2nd in last year.

hope he trained lots on the mtb, because he is a terrible bike handler on the dirt. Floyd is an ex mountain biker, so it was no surprise he did well there.

From the course description it sounded like a lot of fireroad type riding. I saw an article (couldn't find it today) that said he's hoping for top 5.

Finished second, about 2 minutes back of the winner.

Interesting.

Not sure if it is said in the article anywhere, but I would imagine every inch of the course is over 10,000 feet in elevation...as Leadville itself sits in a 'valley' at an elevation over 10,000 feet.

Tough to get air. Real tough.
