Default Voodoo Envy 133: Competition for Macbook Air?

Was looking up Macbook Air and other ultraportable solutions and came across the Voodoo Envy 133 by Voodoo PC (Hewlett Packard).

http://blog.laptopmag.com/voodoo-env...iew-air-killer

Offers several distinct upgrades over MBA in a thinner (albeit heavier) package.

I cant believe anone else on this form knows about it.

There is a really good vid on youtube presenting it and the new Omen.

Basically its the Macbook Air for windows with a few differences.

This is very cool:

The Envy 133 launches users into an environment where they can surf the Web and make Skype calls within a mere 10 seconds. Called Voodoo IOS, this environment is powered by Splashtop (see our Splashtop FAQ) and gives you the full Internet without having to run Vista in the background. Not only does this feature save time, it should also save battery life. You can also instant message your buddies (via Pidgin) in AOL, Google Talk, MSN, Yahoo, and more, and access photos and music–but not movies on the optical drive.
I like the "CRTL" key... haha

I've tried one. They're really nice.

Not a Macbook Air killer though as I would put the form factor closer to the Macbook.

Now that is COOL. Especially with the functional mini-OS that can do some basic communication functions too.

But what is wrong with the standard sub-notebook form-factor (ie: Macbook)? It barely weighs anything, has everything you need (none of that external drive bull$%!t) and can wake nearly as fast (from sleep mode). Sure it's battery isn't as great, but that's hardly a limitation.

I never understood the appeal of the Macbook air, which transfers to this one now.

I hated voodoo in it's old days as a Calgary operation. Ugly computers that were just OEM parts from Taiwan and spray painted in an autoshop and given ugly tribal stickers...and then having a 50-300% premium slapped onto it when you could have built the exact same machine with your owns (as I did once for one of their laptops). The voodoo logo is still quite ugly.

After HP bought them, it's been a little better.
