Hendry played 40 or so games for the NHL Blackhawks last year after injuries really took their toll on the team. But with the signing of Brian Campbell, and Matt Walker he likely projects to be the #8 guy on the Hawks depth chart for this coming year. Versteeg also is in the Hawks system and played 13 NHL games last year. He too is in tough to make the Hawks as the team has several other young forwards that he will compete with and is somewhere in the range of 13 to 15 on their depth chart. One guy played more NHL games the other is younger, both face a tough road to NHL careers that will last more than 200 games. Hesla's phone should stop buzzing at midnight and Syl hopes that Hesla will one day give him a trial pair of Acuvue Oasis Contact lenses.

Basically... the Capitals were short AHL dmen and had a plethora of AHL forwards in which to make deals with. No big deal, type of deal.

I can send you up some Oasys if you want, but i have a pretty hefty consulting fee (a 6 pack).
