I've been looking for cell phone recently as well and came across the Nokia N95 which seems to have some good ratings and it seems similar to the iphone and may interest you. It is a little expensive though and I know with Rogers it's $199 on a 3 year contract here in Canada, not sure what it would be in the States though.

I have the N95 8GB. If you want a phone with a real camera, it does that and a whole lot of other things pretty well. If the camera is not that important and things like a keyboard or touch screen, I say pass on it. Either join the "Jesus phone" club or pick up something like a HTC touch or BB, etc...

I bought mine to go from carrying three devices to one. No more digital camera and MP3 player for me

Phaneuf for President!! Thanks my Rzr is really tanking ...everyone says wait till the start of the new school year when phones will be cheaper but I dont know about that. My first phone was a Nokia and it was cool...I just need good internet because I have my own business but also work a regular job..nothing like overkill Don't know about up there but down here you'd think iPhone and BB were the only two....Nokia's not getting much press

I've played with the bold and htc diamond touch. Don't get the htc, you'll pull your hair out over the touch screen randomness. The stylus pen does not help.

Bold is nice. The resolution is probably one of the best I've seen on a mobile device. A lot better and clearer than the curve. N95 is a pretty good option, but I'm not too fond of the size.

That one qualifier there pretty much eliminates everything but the iPhone.

I agree here. I'm biased so take what I say with a grain of salt, but if internet use is high on your list then the iphone won't disappoint.

Completely disagree.

I have had the Touch now for more than 8 months and LOVE it. I don't find the screen random at all and the stylus works exactly as expected.

Well, good for you. I had the touch for a month and absolutely HATED it. Worst touch ever.

Yes, well done on using the sarcasm emoticon to get your point across. Looks like someone is a little sensitive in having their device criticized.

Nope, not at all. Just thought the "well good for you" was over the top.

The Touch is being used my millions of people worldwide. I visit numerous forums concerning usage, software, etc. and never once have I heard anyone say the screen reacts "randomly". Not once. Nor have I heard any compaints about using the stylus.

Did you use the phone properly? Did you calibrate the screen properly? You say you "played with it". I've "used" it for more than 8 months now. I would say I most likely have a bit more experience with it.

Just coming on the forum and blatantly saying a phone is no good and not backing it up at all, doesn't make much sense to me.

If I were you I would wait a few weeks for when the companies unleash their back to school campaigns and usually have some smoking plans that you wouldn't get during the the 1st half of the year...
