Default Nintendo Wii Repairs

Anyone ever deal with Nintendo repairs?

I went to turn on the wii this morning and noticed the standby light wasn't even on. I tried a few power sources but it didn't power up....after doing a little bit of googling it sounds like its a fuse problem and will obviously be covered by warranty.

Has anyone had any experiences with Nintendo and repairing any sort of console? Just curious on how accurate their time estimates are.

I personally, have not had to send any nintendo console/handheld in for repair as of yet, but I can say I have received excellent service for any technical issues I have called in about.

Just guessing here; you'll probably send it in, and have it returned within 4-6 weeks.

I haven't had issues myself, but a friend of mine said his was back within 2 weeks... apparently their repair department is bored a lot of the time... which happens when a company makes things properly the first time!

I had my wii back in under 2 weeks. They told me approx 15-18 days as their time estimate. BTW you will probably lose all your saved stuff, just so you know.

*edit* Sorry, re-read your post again, I had a slightly different issue, not the exact same.

Yup, I have to hand it to Nintendo. Besides the original NES, every console and handheld released after that I've owned have been problem free. They're built like a tank.

That's good to hear...their estimates they gave to me was shipping time there (to vancouver), 9-10 business days to repair, 2-7 days to ship back.

Seemed crazy fast for something like that. Hopefully I don't lose all my info. That would really suck.

Sent my Wii in after it "fell" off the shelf and I had it back in about 2 weeks. They paid for all shipping as well.
All my info was gone, but I just had to re-download the games that I bought. I think all my settings were still there but I cannot remember for sure.
