Default Steve Bartman offered $25,000 for Autograph.

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big...?urn=mlb,95542

Quote:
they're offering infamous Cubs fan Steve Bartman a cool $25,000 if he shows up to their memorabilia show in suburban Chicago and signs just one picture of him destroying the World Series dreams of Cubs fans everywhere getting tangled up with Moises Alou in Game 6 of the '03 NLCS.
Wonder if he will show?

Actually in the article that is crossed out (supposed to be a joke). When I copy and pasted it, the line disappeared.

Such a sad story.

Every fan would have gone for that ball. If you watch the footage there are many many pairs of hands going for the ball.

The stands are really high up and you are looking up into the sky. No way you can see Alou coming.

No way he will show up.

Actually, two months ago Moises finally admitted that regardless of Bartman's actions, he would not have caught the ball.

Sucks for the Bartman.

It really is unfair the way he has been blamed for the Cubs losing that game. Check out the video on Youtube of him being escorted out of the stands onto the concourse after the game. Unreal.

Actually Alou said he was misquoted the next day. However, he did say that people should leave Bartman alone and he has said that since the day it happened.

That is how I understand it. Not only that, but after he said he was misquoted he also said he "definately would have caught the ball".

Here is an interesting read on what Steve Bartman is up to now.

Bartman is an idiot and should be mocked for the rest of his life. HOWEVER, the cubs lost because Ex-Jay Alex Gonzalez can't feild a routine grounder. The fact that he isn't blamed for the lost is the true injustice!

Hes probably a diehard Cubs fan, i highly doubt he'd do that, hes turned down bigger amounts before. Also sounds like hes got a good job as well.

Why does that make him an idiot?? Why does he wanna bring attention to this. The guy wants to live his life. If he does this, then his name is in the papers, then he's being hounded for interviews, then it looks like he is trying to cash in on this. I commend him for staying away from any media circus. Let this die. It was 5 years ago!!!
