Some marketing help, please.
I thought I might ask the CP Brain trust in some help with internet marketing.
In the next couple of weeks, our dealership is going to be launching a new financing program aimed at individuals that might have trouble purchasing a vehicle due to short employment history and/or poor credit.
The program is being offered by one of the financial institutions we deal with and basically it will offer financing to clients that have been on the job for at least 30 days. Regardless of credit history, they will have guaranteed approval.
My question is, if you were an individual that fell into that category and were needing a vehicle, what might you "Google" in order to find a vehicle given these circumstances.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to determine what might be the best form of internet marketing.
I should also add that we will be the only car dealership outside of Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary to offer this program.
thanks for any and all help.

Just happened to pick up a local auto paper last night. The publication's site can link you to some dealer sites. Many lots around here deal with damaged credit. Some of the ad banners include:
Bad credit/no credit ok
Everybody rides
You work , you ride
No credit check
Everyone approved
Buy here, pay here
Easy financing
No one refused
Your job is your credit
Guaranteed credit with pay stub
Bad/slow/no credit OK
The publication's site is http://www.carbuyersguide.com

I would probably search for " buying car with bad credit calgary"
Btw, I hope this doesn't take the thread into a weird tangent, but isn't this the type of stuff that got our economy into trouble? People who can't afford it finding a way to buy new things?

Well Catch 22.You need a car to get to work in many places. These places do a big business around here because public transportation is terrible. At least in Palm Bch. County.

These financing options don't really help the people who use them who have terrible credit. I don't see how 27% interest on a car loan is something to be happy about.
But I guess it is their own fault in getting a loan at that rate when they should just buy a bucket of bolts until they correct their credit mistakes.
Sad thing is that they generally don't really care about the outstanding debts they have with other creditors and don't think they should have to pay them back. At least, that has been my experience to date with poor credit people.

I've bought a car on ~30% interest before. There is a demand for it, and that was actually how I began to rebuild my credit.
I would probably google "in house car financing Calgary"

thanks Ken.
I know there is a bunch of morality issues around the subject, but its a tool we use as a used car dealership to be able to sell some vehicles. In a lot of cases its not just poor credit but short employment history etc.
I suspect with the current economic conditions, there may be some more "good credit" people that will experience some problems in the near future.
we are in rural alberta. Getting to work may require travelling to get there. some people will require a vehicle to get to work. Hopefully this program will help some people.
And who knows, if they keep up a good repayment history or get longer employment history, there is nothing from stopping them to refinance at a lower rate in the future.

If people will pay than why not do it.. If you don't offer the service someone else will..
We offer stuff like this as well. and the people that need the financing of this sort generally speaking need transportation and want to make their payments.. They also tend to become great clients and a great source of referals as you looked after and helped when many others wouldn't

WHat about people like me ? My wife was killed in a car wreck. The other lady didnt have insurance , there was an old statute in Oklahoma that says a husband is responsible for all spouses bills in case of death( but the wife isnt if the husband dies)... The hospital bill was 250,000 k. I offered them 50k ( my uninsured motorist and all i was getting from the wreck) and they said they would take it and chrage me 200k more. I had to file bankruptcy because of it and now my credit is around 600 now because of the bankruptcy ...... should i buy a bucket of bolts?

28%+ financing is part of every normal persons young life, IMHO, especially considering we are talking about used cars here and not a brand new off the lot 2009 models.
"used car financing" would be my first google entry.
A good way to figure out alternatives is just punch combos into google until you come up with businesses that are functionally identical to yours but in another city, province or country.

Google itself can come to the (partial) rescue here (There are other tools that do the same thing, but this is one of the easiest to use)
Go to: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Type in the key words. For e.g. 'car' 'financing' 'calgary' 'bad credit' or give a URL to an existing page
The tool will return a long list of search patterns, ranked by highest search volume, which you can then either type back into that key words list (hopefully generating even more results) or use them as-is.
The nice thing about the keyword tool is that it will give you a list of things you may never have thought of, is based on actual search data, and is free!

If anything, I think you should make everything have a posetive spin. 1st time buyer, buying car with no credit, etc.
Think about the demgraphic you are going after. I would think it's probably more young people with no credit or bad credit. Think about the questions they would want to ask, that's what they'll search in google.
Also, register your website on google so it picks up your place in a few weeks rather than waiting for a spider to come across it.

I think the number one Google search for that will be:
"I'm from Edmonton"
