US iTunes Account

Just did it myself, worked like a charm. Nice to see all the TV shows we can't get yet in Canadian iTunes. Lots of "US Only" Apps in the App store too.

Do you have a Canadian and a US iTunes account?

I plan on buying apps, such as Tuner (as mentioned in the other thread). So, I'll need to pay for them somehow. I assume that they won't take a Canadian credit card. I'm sure that I can figure that out somehow (e.g. using gift certificates). Have you been able to successfully buy applications?

I have both CDN and US account. Just created the US one this morning. I've already used it to download the free AOL Radio app from the US Apps Store (very awesome download, btw).

As for adding funds to a US iTunes account, just search for iTunes gift cards on ebay.

So is it complicated to sync all your music/contacts/ etc. having two accounts on iTunes?

EDIT: I guess my question is, does it wipe your iPhone clear when you sign in under a new username?

The store is kept pretty much separate. The only thing I could see getting messed up is your purchased songs section/playlist. Once it's in the library, it's in the library.

You can sync without being logged into the store.

Updating apps may not work but logging into the store you downloaded them on would allow them to be updated.

Ya that's what I found. I'm going to leave my primary account synced with the phone itself, then manually add those US only apps under the other account manually. Seems to work fine.
