A month later than everyone else, Calgary's pro hoops team finally started playing, falling 118-91 to Fort Worth.
The "much anticipated" home opener that was supposed to be December 27 has now been rescheduled to January 02. Hopefully the team actually has a lease and a court by that point.
I still think they are insane to be wanting to play at the Saddledome. Far, far better off at the Corral or even Max Bell at this point...

You know, every time I look at the ABA, I cant help but to laugh.
According to the aba website, the Texas Tycoons were scheduled to play Baton Rouge last night.
According to the Tycoons website, their schedule shows them playing Oklahoma City.
According to the Tycoons ticket page, they were playing Juarez.
In reality, they played Calgary.
How on earth do they keep all of these schedule changes straight?

They will be playing at the Coral. I think it was their president who said that one the Big Show. Courtside seats will be about $55.

Who is going to pay $55 for court side seats for a team that nobody knows is playing?

They won their first game last night. Not bad for a team that was playing their 3rd game in 3 nights.
I don't know if I would ever go to a game but I hope they survive.

Depending on the prices, I'll probably go to the home opener (not courtside... LOL) but I'm not much of a basketball fan, so I doubt I'll be attending many games.
