Default Help with Directions Please

I'm in Red Deer and I'm going to the Stamps game tonight and have never been to the Stadium. Can I take Hwy 2 until I get to 16 Ave and follow that to Crowchild? I'm looking at a Google map and have no idea which is the easiest way.

Thank you for your help in advance !

hmmmm, heavy construction on 16ave. I wonder if taking McKnight-john Laurie-charleswood-crowchild would be better?

I think that that would be your best bet.

Parking is pretty tight around McMahon Stadium though. You may want to take Crowchild north and park at the Brentwood C-Train parking lot and take the train to the game.

That is definitely a safe bet. Just make sure you're there early there is some construction on 16th ave. You could also just park somewhere up 24th ave but you'll have to walk about 5-10 blocks.

Thanks for the help guys, I would have never known there was construction until I ran into it!

BTW BlackArcher, respectful Avatar, I wish I would have seen Mr. Carlin when he came through Alberta

There is plenty of Parking at the UofC, it is about a 10-15min walk to the stadium.

If you are coming in off of 16th ave to Crowchild and want to take the train I would park and ride from Lions Park Station (North Hill Mall) or SAIT thus avoiding the traffic around the stadium both coming into and leaving town. Traffic will be pretty bad around 6pm as you will be hitting late rush hour traffic.

Take the McKnight/ John Laurie - Charleswood route, it'll save you 15-20 minutes over going 16th Ave. We always park in the large University Lot in the SE corner of the university. From Charleswood, cross over Crochild, then take the first left onto Campus Drive, follow thataround until you see lots of people turning into a parking lot.

$4, and a short walk to the stadium. Easy to get into, and usually easy to get out of after the game.
