Default Wedding registry

My wife and I got a couple items off our Home Outfitters registry in the form of a statement that someone purchased our item and we can come pick it up.

We went to pick the items up and they won't give it to us - they say they are out of stock and won't be getting any more. Is there any way for us (or my friends who purchased the items) to get cash back rather than a shi!&%y gift card? There's nothing left at the store that we want other than the items they sold my friends then refuse to give us.

I'd demand cash. They can either order it for you or give you the cash.

We had this problem too, back in May. The person who bought the gift for us had to call the Bay or go in (I can't remember) but it was a bit of a fight. They demanded cash back and refused to be offered a gift card. They essentially told them that the item that was unavailable was what they wanted to get us, and if they didn't have any here they were going to buy it somewhere else. They told them that the shouldn't have sold it to them if there weren't any. Anyways, eventually it worked out and they went to Sears anyways. So my advice is for the people who bought the gift to contact Home Outfitters and demand their money back.

Thumbs down Hbc

Forget trying to get cash back yourself. My wife and I argued with a manager at home outfitters about the very same thing for half an hour. We left with yet another gift card. The only way to get anything else is if the original person who bought it goes back with their original receit (not a gift receit) and then they will refund it back the way it was purchased, like onto the credit or debit card or cash if it was bought that way. itīs brutally annoying especially because we already had about $700 in gift cards. now we have $750. the only place that will ever give you cash is Sears. HBC is an evil organization. once they have your money, thereīs no way itīs coming back.
