Default Sad day for the CFL [MRG]

Not sure if this is the right forum, just felt he was such a pioneer for the CFL that it shouldnt get lost in the other sports forum.

I was shocked to hear that we lost a good and positive influence of CFL and football all over North America. Bob Ackles is one of the best person in the CFL and the league and the fans will definitely miss him.

Condolences to Scott Ackles of Calgary Stampeders and the rest of the family. It is a sad, sad day for the CFL.

Rest in Peace Bob.

Well I am surprised there are no tributes to one of the most influential CFL'ers ever.

So I will bump it a bit just in case it was missed.

Once again, RIP.

It is amazing what this guy has done in his career, both in the CFL and NFL.

His influence in the local community has gained significant increase in support for teh Lions in Vancouver. 25,000 season ticket holders and climbing.

RIP Ackles.
