Did the President get banned or did he just go away?
Not sure what all the commotion was about that guy but he seems to be somewhat of a legend.

Unfortunately, the President was banned. I don't know why. I think that he was a French Canadian Flames fan so his english was a bit off and also entertaining. I think that led to a few misunderstandings.
I spoke to him a few times on HFboards.
Polly Peena is gone too I suppose.

I'm always wary of posters like The President. They come along too quick and make such a splash... I think it's another poster on the board just yanking our collective chain.
As for Polly Peena, I think she was a genuine mental case. She probably got banned because it's not fair of us to make fun of people who are "challenged".

No, the President was on HFboards a long time before, he's still there. The majority of his posts before his appearance on CP and still now are all on the Montreal forums.
I think he was unjustly banned because his interesting French-Canadian english led to some misunderstandings or like you said, somebody thought he was just yanking our chain.
We don't get too many Habs fans on our boards so I just thought it was unfortunate, he was good entertainment too.
