Some of the multi-days around Assiniboine are tough, tough. Totally worth it, and probably fine for intermediates (I would call myself an intermediate, and it was fine for my Dad and I. My sister didn't fare as well however.).
If you wanna go on a real journey (driving-wise), and you can get a permit (not sure how far in advance you need to book), the Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park is my favorite backpacking trip of all-time. A must-see, for sure.
Lake O'Hara is beautiful also, even though it's busy, the campsites are noisy, and you have to take a bus to get up there. But it's a spectacular area.
The Skyline trail near Jasper is another necessary Rockies hike. Top 5 for sure.
I also really like Yoho National Park. Lots of amazing dayhikes, but you can turn them into a nice little loop if you please. Make sure you include the Iceline trail- one of the best dayhikes in AB/BC imo.
So many options!
