Default Cheap Golf

Since I am golfing three times a week right now and the weather is so nice that I'm sure others are looking to get out more, I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread that people could post deals they've found at courses around the city. (I searched the forum and couldn't find a thread like this, hopefully I didn't miss it)

i'll start.

Shaw-nee slopes has a deal $43 for 18 with a cart every monday. You can book times online up to 6 days in advance.

Next?

Wolf Creek which is just South of Ponoka used to have a Mens Night Monday where it was $50 with a cart for 18 holes and you got dinner and a beer with it.

Radium Hot Springs Resort - $35 gets you 9 holes, a golf cart, and a steak dinner.

You can't top that!

I think Speargrass offers a better bang for your buck than most other courses around.

I haven't been out there since the 1st year it opened. Didn't they have one of their final three holes wash away? I'd assume its all rebuilt now.It was a tough course when I play it.....usually windy there too.

Has anyone been out to the new one Boulder Creek? Its out Glenmore towards Langdon.

Skeeter heaven.

The front 9 were in lousy shape, the back 9 seemed better but we bailed halfway through.

Highlands Links has last minute specials (within three days) that are up to 50% off, so you could be looking at $25 for 18 holes (I forget if the cart is included or not)

You serious? I booked a time there for later on this month for 120 bucks a head.

I am . . . however, it's only last minute tee-times. And generally either dusk or dawn (which have cheaper rates to begin with)

Last Minute Bookings

Green Fees

If you're booking "later in the month" your best bet is to book now. I wouldn't mind booking a day or two in advance as I'm only an hour and a half drive from there.

I was just there last night (not as a golfer, but looking at the houses...)

The course looks kinda lame. Just a few bumps in an otherwise flat terrain and just does a loop around the Boulder Creek community. The skeeters are from the HUGE swamp right beside it. Kinda looks like the RCGA Golf Centre mini golf course, but longer.
