Baby kidnapping case gets weirder and weirder

Montgomery "told us all she was pregnant with twins, and about a month and a half ago her messages were 'I lost one of the twins. It's so terrible, but they saved one twin,"' Strudl said. "We didn't believe she was pregnant. I don't know how she fooled her family and community."

So.. from what I gather from this story is:
The girl who kidnapped the child, has been lying to her friends and family that she was pregnant. So rather than come clean about not being pregnent, she kills this other woman, and steals her child.

And this womans husband, beleived that she was pregnent.
I don't understand...

There was one thing I did see on TLC a very long time ago, on Truama, life in the ER. A woman came in complaining of her stomach hurthing, and what not. She ended up giving birth on the gurny... she didn't even know she was pregnent.. WTF?!?!

Sometimes the stupidity of people really amazes me.

if only there was an impartial entity we could legislate who can have kids...

but there is no impartial entity. and the mechanism is a little harsh and unfortunately reactive.

here in prince george bc, when i went to high school there were contests among groups of girls to see who could become pregnant first.

and mackenzie bc, not far away, the high school had to open a nursery so that more girls would come to school.
