Los Angeles Kings' GM and Minister of Information icarus has been busy for the past week with exams, so here's a recap of the games that have been played over that time.
Day 55
FLYERS 6 KINGS 1
A disappointing game, Cloutier got shelled. Broke a strong streak by LA. Two late goals by Philly to end the first disheartened the Kings and the team fell apart.
Day 57
KINGS 3 DUCKS 2
Cloutier returned the next game with a strong effort versus the crosstown Ducks and earned the first star. Hatcher and Brewer put the Kings on the board early and Tanguay's goal in the third salted away the win in Anaheim.
Day 59
KINGS 3 FLAMES 6
This was a good, close game until the third when the Kings fell apart. The Flames are a good team and they showed it by pressuring LA in the final frame. Still, Cloutier has to be better.
Day 60
PENGUINS 3 KINGS 2
Cloutier clearly did not get better and as a result the Kings lost to the pathetic Pittsburgh Penguins. Close game and the Pens scored in the last six minutes. Manny Legace absolutely stood on his head and robbed LA of the victory.
Day 61
LEAFS 2 KINGS 4
Mika Noronen got the start in net as Cloutier stared onward from the bench. Noronen played a great game and was named second star. The first star was young Matthias Weinhandl who scored a couple. Skrastins and Kolnik also scored for the Kings, who rallied back from a 0-2 deficit.
