I don't know what to think as the biggest draw to Top Gear for me are the hosts.

I predict pure and utter failure for the NBC version.
What makes the BBC version so good?
1) Hosts. The way they work together makes the show.
2) Cars. They have a lot more selection in Europe, than they do in the US and Canada
3) Locations. Lots of other countries they can easily travel to.
4) Roads. Lots of amazing roads in insane locations. How exciting is it going to be to watch them drive in the US?
5) Crazy a$$ producers. Seriously, the challenges that they come up are insane.
6) Production. Their reviews and movies are of Hollywood quality.

The only chance for success for NBC's Top Gear would be Jay Leno as a host. The guy is getting pushed off the Tonight Show, he might as well do Top Gear USA...
