Oilers Make First Deal Under New GM
The Edmonton Oilers have brought in Defenseman Steve Montador from the St. Louis Blues for Forward Mike Grier.
"Mike didn't fit the plans heading into this season." Claimed GM Prottotype. "He made too much to be a 4th liner with the team. We also needed to get younger on our D line, and Montador is coming off a career year in the NHL at age 28."
It's expected that the Oilers will be calling up Defenseman Cam Barker from their AHL afiliate to help with the hole the club is currently experiencing on defense.
