In an effort to jump start the ailing Buffalo Sabres, loooob released a league wide 'no-one is safe' memo last week. There has been ample interest from other CPHL GMs in several players, but interestingly, none moreso than last years CPHLs scoring leader Vaclav Prospal.
"We've had alot of discussion on Prospal with different teams" said Looooob "both in deals on his own and in packages with dynamite players such as Giguere, Gerber, Niedermayer, Rucchin and Johnsson. You can imagine we don't intend on screwing up a deal of that magnitude. It's alot of pressure. Either a deal has to make us better now, or MUCH better in the future if we give up two or three of these assets. Having said that we have discussed some of the leagues best players and best prospects in these deals, and there is alot for us to be interested in. We continue to study our options, and thank the other GMs for their interest and patience"
