Seems like there's lightning every 5-10 seconds here in the Bridgeland/Renfrew area (somewhat in a the distance). Quite the show!!

wait until the hail comes... I actually thought there was a tornado as I couldn't see anything and crap was flying everywhere... man, weather doesn't usually concern me, but that had me wondering if I should go back downstairs... hung out on the deck instead... I'm a smart guy.

There was alot of lightning here in the NW. Go figure Environment Canada ended the thunderstorm watch about 20mins ago, they had the watch on since 1:00 this afternoon.

We're just getting a nice light show here in Erinwoods, and a little bit of rain. No hail, but I'm assuming I can expect some.

Wow, that lightning is crazy. In a crappy position as the storm is well into the city now and have no view for a good picture... most are in the clouds anyways... bah!

As mentioned there was a lot of hail/lightning here in the NW about 15-20 minutes ago. It was going at a pretty good rate for awhile but has since stopped. Crazy weather we've had the last little while with these hail storms.

No hail pictures? For shame!
We filed a $2500 claim on our car about a month ago. More hail this year than I have seen in total since we moved here 12 years ago.
Can you size it? Marbles? Golf balls? Tennis balls?

I tried to get a few shots but most had ended by the time i finally got out there... the hail isn't actually that big, marble sized or less. It was the volume of it.

Ah, see we don't get that volume here. It always seems to be mixed with rain and rarely does it cover the ground. Which seems odd to me given the nature of the storms we get.
I remember storms in Montana and Colorado though like what you're describing and ending up with like 4 inches of hail on the ground. Good stuff!

yeah the stuff we got was marble sized but there was a pretty small volume of it. The lightning and thunder were much more impressive here.

I'm in Hawkwood, we just got some heavy rain. It tried to hail a bit but never really got going. I park my car outside, glad it didn't get bad!
