Shaw box stuck on CC

Help!

My 2 y/o got a hold of the remote / randomly pushed buttons on the front of the DVR, and now it seems that I'm stuck with Closed Captioning turned on.

Can anyone direct me as to where to turn CC off? It would appear that I've been outsmarted by a 2 y/o...

I believe that with the unit off, you press and hold menu on the front of the unit while turning it on...

This will bring up the service menu which you navigate with the remote, then exit to save...

try googling your model number and service mode.

I ended up pressing the menu button and waiting a few seconds. Service screen came up, and bingo!
