Default Where to by electronic components?

I'm looking to build a rackmount microphone pre-amp. I have the schematics but I need to find a supplier of electronic components. In Toronto, there was Active Surplus, where you could find anything. Anything like that here in Calgary?

I'm looking for things like capacitors, resistors, diodes, potentiometers, xlr jacks, yadda yadda yadda.

Also, I need the TI INA217 chip.

Cheers!

Stupid Circuit City! Why'd they have to buy Radio Shack?

But who knows, maybe they still have stuff like that.

http://www.active-tech.ca

EDIT: Though if I recall they are too expensive, you can probably get cheaper online.

I'll never shop with them thanks to their Divx vs DVD Fiasco!

Despite it being a poorly named company, they have a store close to the Foothills industrial park. Fleury's Concrete is located near there as well(but I don't think you need concrete floor resurfacing)

Active on 32nd is where I go to get what I need, although most of the time I order online.

mouser.com
digikey.com

These 2 sites will have everything you need.

In Toronto I loved that place with the gorilla standing outside of it on Queen St. I think.

Can someone recommend a place to get a half-decent soldering iron & desoldering braid? BE? Active?

I am designing two PCBs (one for the preamp, and the other for the power distribution & +48v) to be cut by www.4PCB.com. It is a rip-off of another board, so I already have a parts list. I plan on upgrading some of the components from the original design.

Also, I have found a place that sells empty rackmount chassis for 50 bucks. All I need now is a place in Calgary where I can have the face plate holes drilled and then the engraving for the labelling.
