Chris Webber upset that The Apprentice is profitting from his name and is considering taking legal action for using his name without permission.

So . . . . I'm taking it he really does cancel out on Jennifer and she's probably hooped on Thursday night for the Apprentice finale.

And Webber is worried he's going to look like an ass in real life. Could it be he's not in on the fix?

Makes me wonder if the whole thing last year regarding Kwame losing Jessica Simpson at the airport was a fix by Trump so that Bill would get an upper hand.

Not only by Trump but by Mark Burnett as well. Don't think that Trump can think these things up on his own.

Burnett is the TV genius.

The fact Chris Webber is stepping up to protest implies he was genuinely trying to cancel and doesn't like that as part of the show as it is likely to damage his reputation in terms of generating appearance fees in the future.

That would be my read.

Damaging his reputation?

This is the same guy that admitted to taking money to play for Michigan right? and only got out of it because the dude that gave him money died.

And now is whining about having to play pro B-ball in Sacremento?

What reputation does he have?

That is a question for the court now isn't it? You say zero. He apparently feels different.

Anyway, the real and only question for Apprentice fans is whether or not his quitting is a sign the program was rigged or not.

With the way that Trump arbitrarilly fires people I think that an obvious type of ploy like this to fire someone would not work.

Like I have always said about these typ of conspiracy theories on TV is that there are way too many people that would have to be involved for it to work. Especially too many people that don't get paid enough by the show to not come forward for the tabloid money.

I agree with moon. Why would Trump bother setting someone up to fail. It's his show, and I'm sure the rules are pretty explicit about Trump being able to fire anyone he wants to for any reason.

I don't like your hair..You're Fired.
You are a crappy leader..You're Fired.
You lost Jessica Simpson..You're Fired.

If he wants Kelly to win, he's gonna win regardless, he doesn't have to stage a fake cancellation to hire Kelly. Even if the Chick's event comes off better and Kelly's goes into the toilet, it'd be easy for Trump to say,
"You're event sucked, but I really liked the way you handled the adversity..You're Hired"

Of course it's fixed, it's one dude picking the winner for reasons only he really knows.
