Sunburn
Anyone know a good way to heal up a sunburn quick? I skipped out on work today, and got quite the burn. It's going to be noticeable tomorrow... so I need help to heal it up quickly. The burn is on my arms and neck.
I have aloe vera with lidocaine, but are there any other ways? Don't suggest to wear sleeves.

You're hooped.
I did the same thing, except mine was on my bald head. All you can do is put on lotion when it starts to peel to keep it from becoming even more noticeable.

Sleeveless turtleneck... or,if it's that important, wear some makeup . Aloe and cold showers are the only thing I know of,both of which do nothing for the redness. Oh, don't shave either, that can sting.

Yeah I hope it heals up quick. I haven't even decided if I am going in tomorrow or not. So this might all be for naught.
Also since I am going camping this weekend, I will be a lobster by Tuesday. Anyone else sunburnt already?

Perfect. Blow off tomorrow, all problems solved. You could also say you got paint all over you (when painting orphan's homes) and had a reaction to the mineral spirits when you were scrubbing...

If you can get an actually aloe vera plant and get the oil out of that it'll work alot better than any aloe vera cream you can buy

keep applying aloe
apply it every half hour, you may turn green, but when you shower tomorrow morning, the sunburn will either be gone, or much less noticeable.
I once got a nasty sunburn on a Sunday outing, and had to drive to Halifax the next day for a job interview, I was applying aloe the whole drive up. Didn't look overly red when I got there.

I got burned pretty good on the golf course today. In my rush to get out the door i left the suntan lotion on the counter. My face, arms, legs and the back of neck is hurting as i type.
As for cures......I use Solarcaine on my burns plus some ice to cool and stop further burning.
Despite the burn, i finally broke 90 for the first time this year

There's not really anything you can do to make it heal faster. However, aloe will definitely make it feel better due to the cooling sensation. Be careful with the lidocaine formulation you have though. When used frequently or over large areas, it can be absorbed through the skin and cause serious problems (eg. seizures). I would suggest just sticking with plain aloe cream/gel. You can also apply cool compresses to the area. Keep the burnt areas well moisturized as well.

careful on skipping out tomorrow too. Alberta labour laws state that a company only has to pay their employees holiday pay if they show up to both their scheduled days immediately before and after the holiday.

Treat the burn with the aloe gel or lotion, hide it with some sunless tanning spray.

I would still get paid for tomorrow, I'd just have to make it up. Plus, I haven't been working there long enough, I doubt they are paying me for Monday anyway.

You have to have worked there for a month before they have to pay you for Monday.

I picked up some Vitamin E Gel from Shoppers Drug Mart when they were out of Aloe Vera one time before a vacation and I swear by it now. It kind of leaves a coating on you for a while and keeps the moisture in your skin.
In addition Vitamin E is good for the skin. Might be worth a try.
As a previous poster mentioned Aloe also works great but as stated you have to re-apply often.

This is going to sound weird, but I swear it works better than anything else....plain yogurt. Just don't forget to wash it off....that could get funky.
